Mr. Bean was a popular British sitcom starring Rowen Atkinson that aired from 1990 to 1995.  It became hugely popular during that time and achieved its highest ratings with this episode, The Trouble With Mr. Bean. 18.7 million viewers tuned in to watch Mr. Bean take on his dentist.  This episode can be viewed in several clips:
